On April 29th 2020, Prof. Bohumir Strnadel of VšB-Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) was awarded with "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" from the Japanese Government. His contribution on promoting partnership between Japan and Czech on academic field was highly recognized for this award. YNU has concluded academic exchange agreement with VšB - Technical University of Ostrava in 2003, and since then has worked on exchanging students and academic staffs as well as launching a double degree program. Prof. Strnadel has been the leader on our partnership such as becoming the Char on international workshop which has been held for eight times among both universities.
