2012年8月6日～9日に中国の成都市で 開催された、IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics : Applications and Student Innovation Competition(IWEM2012)において、大学院工学府博士課程後期1年の王珅さん（指導教員：新井宏之教授）が、The Best Student Paper Award/ Second Prizeを受賞しました。
受賞対象となった論文題目は「A Low-Profile Switched Beam Antenna Using Parasitic Elements for Indoor Base Station」で、当国際会議において優秀な論文内容?発表技術を有すると評価され今回の受賞となりました。
